1957 Tipped-In Print Edvard Munch Nude Art Madonna Loving Woman Expressionism MED3 This is an original 1936This is an original 1957 tipped in color print of a piece by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (1863 1944) entitled "Madonna (Loving Woman)," one of a set of five similar compositions he painted between 1894 and 1895. Due to the halo, its speculated that this is possibly a representation of the Virgin Mary in a much more controversial setting than she is used to in the act of passion. The model for this work was a woman named Dagny Juel Przybyszewska.
